the birthday bash...

19th December ... it has always been mama's birthday... this year is mama's 46th birthday.. so we (me, hubby, mimi, tirah, aya and amir and baba) decided to organize a surprise birthday party for her. The best thing was, mama, baba and hubby had a course on that day so it was easy to prepare for the party. Well, i was the most tired of all in preparing the food. i did have 3 kitchen hands but i did most of the work alone. the kitchen hands helped mostly with the dish. Well, that was good enough. Thank you girls!!!

Guess what i prepared for the party? First, I prepared the birthday cake. It was chocolate moist cake topped with choc ganache and decorated with buttercream. it was my first time decorating cakes with that kind of flowers.. i was testing my new decorating tip that i just bought. everytime i bake i will try new things.. luckily the flowers looked like flowers.. hehe :P







next i prepared 2 types of cupcake as our parents' anniversary cake. special apple cupcake for baba and the other cuppies were lemon choc chip cupcakes.




the main dish of the day was nasi ayam.. hehehe .. mentang2 la baru blaja masak nasi ayam kan.. :P. Glad that everyone loved the food that day.. n mama was really surprised there was a party waiting for her after a day-long course..

malam semalam, jiran depan umah aku ni, di lawati oleh kawan die, tapikan, ada perkara malang menimpa die, hehe, nak tau ape?

mamat ni nak tgk sape datg umah die, kire bukak pintu, kuar jap, tgk n nak masuk blik nak amek kunci gril, tapi malangnya, pintu die ni tertutup n terkunci, hehehe...

so boleh bayangkan tak? die terkunci tak leh masuk umah n tak leh kuar umah, berada di tengah2 antara pintu dn gril... heheh... a

aku nak tolong pun tatau cane nak wat, sbb gril die kunci, ... puas la mamat ni mengetuk tombol pintu bagi pecah, aku just bagi guide secara lisan je cane nak bukak tombol, tapi tak berjaya sebab tombol yang die gune, mahal nye kot, susah gile nak bukak,

seb baik la kawan die ni rajin gi carik locksmith n jumpa la sorg, jadi mamat tuh pun diselamatkan la,,.. hehe

aku igt lagi ayat die semalam, ' kad sudah rosak, pintu sudah rosak, tangan pun sudah rosak, mau pakai duit lagi bayar org bukak ini gril n pintu, haiya,,,, duit lagi...' heheh

pengajaran nye, make sure pintu korg tuh tak terkunci mase korg bukak, sbb pintu yang biasa kita gune ni, kadang2 terkunci even kite dah unlock die sbb kite terpusing die punye punat nak kunci tu, so bila kite unlock pun, die stil kunci, so, berhati2 la ek.... meh tgk gamba

hurmmm.... lama gak la aku tak menaip dalam blog ni,, sejak balik harituh....
petang tadik, lepas wat senaman sket, aku n wife aku tetibe je tergerak hati nak gi men layang-layang.... aku tak igt name tempat tu ape ... sbb wife aku yg bawak tadi.. hehehe

nak gi men layang-layang, tapi layang-layangnye tade... ehhe... kami just mencuba nasib je jalan2 kat situ, tgk2 ade la nyonya jual layang2 kat tepi tu... rm 8... ok la...

dah ade layang2, so kami pun memulakan la aksi men layang2..... ramai gak la makhluk2 yang men kat tempat ni...

lame siot tak men layang2.... aku cam teruja sket tgk layang2 yang kami beli ni.... buatan china... lain siot dari yang aku men mase kecik2... tade dah tali teraju yang kene ikat kat depan tuh... die just ikat kat satu lubang ni, n die punye teraju lidi kat belakang tuh pun leh men cabut2... ahhaha bapak la kuno nye aku ni... sedangkan layang2 ni dah lama dah ada jual.... bini aku apetah lagi,, same je cam aku... ehhe

men punye main, cam best la pulak kan... sebab dah lama gla tak main... tu yang jadik shooo gile tuh...

aishah memula takut nak pegang, ntah ape2,. ehhe bukan pistol pun nak takut... tapi sekali die dah syok main, siap nak beli baru lagik tuh.... rame2, dah tempah dah, esok amek.. hehe

tapi sedey gak tadi,layang2 aku putus talinya disebabkan oleh seorang mak cine ni, tak reti men layang2 n belit2 tali layang2 aku, putus la beliau.... hhuhuhu... tapikan layang2 cine tuh gamba spongebob beb... ade aku snap gambar anak die tgh pegang nak naikkan layang2 tuh...

hurm.. where to start.. lamenye x mengupdate blog.. well.. let's start from the raya haji.. first day of raya we just stayed at home as hubby has just arrived from Miri late night.. a collegue of mine invited us to her house so we went there at night. the next day, we drove back to Kuantan and stayed there for few days. Just resting and lazing around playing with baby lina.. huhu forgot to snap her latest pic.. bought something for myself in Kuantan.. guess what? a pair of KRS uniform.. can't wait to wear it next year.. hehe :P

then we drove to KL.. the same day as my family left for KL from KB. Helped my parents as they have just moved to KL permanently. went for shopping trips for furniture and house holds at IKEA.. last Saturday, Kak Kimah n her family came, so i prepared some tidbits for tea.. made some lemon mini cupcakes.. (first time making it), cream puffs and eclairs, unfortunately i forgot to snap the pics of the eclairs.. huhuu

yesterday, we were back in JB. Has to go back early just because i have a medical check up. decided to stay put in JB until my hubby get to know his posting. Please pray that he will get somewhere nearby. We decided to start dining at home as we had enough of dining out (and costly as well.. :P) . So today, we cooked together and prepared the hainanese chicken rice.. yummy..

hurmmm.... rajin sungguh bini aku ni buat kek.... nak kene beli oven besar lagi ni... nati la yek, tggu saya dapat gaji... hahahah...

ari ni aku tade kissm, sebab dah ganti sabtu dulu... so aku ade mase nak bersedia utk UAK kissm, (bersedia la sgt, mmg study, hahahah)

lagi dua hari, abes la beban aku sebagai student.... sembab dah otak aku belajo... nasib tak gila.... 5 thun setengah dalam maktab, hurmm,.... setahun setengah kat IPBA, then 4 tahun merantau ke kepulauan borneo.... mmg seksa, tapi aku hadapi dengan cool... ahhahaha

dah nak abes n dah nak balik dah aku dari sarawak ni... hopefully aku tak perlu dtg sini lagi, (melainkan utk konvo n melancong, ) cukup2 la aku jauh dari isteri aku n family aku.... dari form 1 lagik dah jauh... (walaupun tak berapa jauh) tapi tak duk umah la....

n aku sedang menunggu posting, harap2 dapat la johor, dekat dengan wife aku.... doa2la kawan2.....

what a day..

Today was quite a tiring day.. dunno why.. got home around 5 something.. and started to prepare the rewards for my students who got A in their final exam.. what is the reward? it's chocolate cupcake.. with choc ganache and a 'doodle' on top each of the cuppy.. it wasnt really nice n cute as i expected.. i guess the tiredness has taken toll on me.. sorry guys, teacher was very tired when preparing these.. haha.. but dun worry it tastes good.. :P

This is my first time taking orders for a birthday cake. Late yesterday evening, a collegue of mine sent me a text saying :



sha, bleh buatkan kek coklat utk b'day anak akak tak? isnin ni. akak nk hntr g tadika dia.

As i've been lazying around the whole day yesterday, i decided to accept the challenge. Why i call it a challenge? because... i havent made choc cake for quite sometime and i thought i;m gonna use this chance to put my hands on cake decoration..

so.. here it is.. my first artwork made for other people apart from my family and i'll be paid for it :D

merepek n merapu plus ntahapa2

hurmm... bini aku jual kuih muih lak ke? hahahah.. baru ade mood nak tgk2 blog n menaip..... seminggu2 ni aku duk wat mende ntah... duk pegi kelas, balik kelas, tak wat pape pun... bosan ahh... esok dah mula kissm.... haihh... 20 hari lagik nak abes dah aku belaja... heheh..

petang tadik aku shipping motosikal kesayangan aku balik... sedey beb nak tinggal best buddy aku tuh tadik... rase cam nak peluk je tadi... tapi aku pikir balik, nati kang aku jumpe balik gak dgn Queen King Queen 5924 aku tuh... heheh QKQ 5924... aku suke nombor moto aku ni... tu sebab aku beli die... selain walapun umur die dah cecah dak darjah tiga... tapi masih bertenaga nak beat LC 135 baru... wahahhahaha.... sori to say, tapi mmg betul ye.... tak caye tanye la aku n rakan2 aku...

rm 600 gak aku abes tadik pos lelabi aku tuh balik... sampai depan pintu umah kate bos tuh tadik... aku nak gak tgk cane die nak angkat moto aku letak depan pintu umah.... dapat ke die wat camtuh? hehehe

mase aku duk isi borang tuh tadik, aku ingt die akan amek gamba moto aku, sebab biasanya aku tgk org ship moto, mmg ade amek 4 keping gamba, depan belakang kiri kanan, bukti moto tu dalam keadaan baik, tapi sekali mamat tuh lukis daaa moto aku... heh, first time aku tgk,.,, dah jadi cam moto jaki jipang dalam majalah gila2 dah moto aku rupenye... ngeh2... lukis pun lukis la,,, ade calar ke pecah ke nanti, aku claim kat ko...

n now, aku patah kaki la ni,,, tade kenaikan - bahasa melayu lama yang membawa maksud kenderaan, nenek aku ajar ni- untuk beberapa pekan - ni pun sama, bahasa melayu lama yg bermaksud minggu, juga diajar oleh tok mak, hehehe- nasib tak sepurnama , kalau tak, mmg gila la aku... susah betul... rase cam mula2 datang dulu, nak kuar pun susah...

pernah sekali tuh aku jalan kaki dari maktab aku ni ke airpot miri sebab nak amek duit.. duit abes la pulak time2 emergency, nak tanak, jalan je la... ni cite mase mula2 jejak kaki kat sawak ni la... setengah jam gak la.... kalau naik moto, 5 minit da sampai... hhheheh... tuh belum rekod beb..

rekod jalan kaki kat maktab ni aku rase aku la pegang... ni cite lame la... dgn ex aku dulu, nak bagi pengajaran sebenarnya kat beliau agar tidak ngade2 nak makan kt tempat mahal n jangan MELANTAK cam cipan... makan kat tepi laut, tanjung lobang namenye.... makan sampai abes duit aku... keji ah.... ape lagi, aku ajak la beliau berjalan kaki pulang ke maktab yang mana perlu mendaki satu bukit yang tinggi die aku rase ade la dalam 30% kecuraman nye. ke lebih? aku pun tak sure, tapi mmg bukit tuh makan sekilo gak la panjangnye...

n jarak ke maktab aku tuh ade la dalam 6 kilo nak sampai... wakakkakakakka.... gile kan aku? sape suh makan kat tempat mahal n MELANTAK? tape2 tuh kesah lama.... dah tamat dah pun.... aku dah bahagia sekarang.... perjalanan dari jam 830malam, sampai ke maktab tepat pada jam 10 malam, ngam2 b4 gate kene kunci, hehe,,,, penat mmg penat, tapi aku puas hati!!

besok dah start kissm, ape kene bawak ni? ade cakap nak gamba, ye ke? aku gamba pun tade ni, ke ade? eh, nati la aku check.... neway, doakan aku dapat posting same tmpt dgn wife aku yang tersayang.... roger n out... aku nak gi tandas ni.... sakit lak perut aku makan ayam tak masak abes mase BBQ tadik...

helllooo!! anybody home? haha i haven't blog for quite sometime.. have I ? Well nothing much happened lately.. the final examination has just started today.. so rite now i'm quite free before my table piles up with the answer scripts.. as i said... nothing much happened lately.. was appointed as an invigilator for SPM but not anymore.. really thankful to a collegue of mine.. really apreciate it.. :).. hurm, what else? oh yea.. my SIL Ati gave birth to a very beatiful and healthy baby girl today.. so used it as an excuse to skip a meeting today :P went to the hospital to see baby Nurlina.. sorry ek if salah eja.. that's the only 2 things that i've found interesting.. oh another thing.. i'm on entrepreneur mode.. why? decided to make n sell something to fill up the panitia fund.. first start was egg+cheese sandwich.. glad it was sold out.. now i'm thinking of something else i can sell.. what about mini puffs n puddings? how does that sounds?

seterusnya lagik, berakhir dah la penglibatan aku dalam vbal di sarawak ni, naim united, korg mmg team yang best.....

Another bad day..

Imagine having 2 bad days in a row? Arghh!!! This time i'm the victim... What do you feel when you are not a warden but you have to inspect the hostel as early as 650a.m-7.30am and you have a class as early as 730 a.m. Let me tell you it is tiring to rush from the hostel block to the academic block.. ye la kalo lmbat kang *** marah... Dlm penat2 tu terus proceed ngan lesson. Byg la kepenatan nye.. unluckily my activity of the day berjaya di complete 5mins before the class end. Budak lak mcm bese la... ade a few kaki tidur tegar.. yg kejut skali, die bukak mate.. kite blah je terus tumbang blk.. do u expect cikgu nk berdiri sebelah every student tu n kejut every second diorg tdo???!!! x kuasa ah... Nk dijadikan citer, mase tu la *** lalu kat kelas n marah budak2 tdo.. padahal bukan aku x tau die wat camtu sebenarnye tuju kat cikgu dalam kelas.. ntah la x paham.. bukan ke sebelum dpt pangkat tinggi dalam sekolah, semua orang akan mula sebagai cikgu biase.. tp *** mcm x penah jd cikgu.. x memahami langsung situasi pelajar dan guru. Bayangla dalam keadaan penat x habes lagi.. Ade je yg mencari pasal.. Memang aku marah.. Br je nk cool down kantin ade lak yg timbulkan kemarahan aku. terus hilang mood nk makan.... Skarang ni lak rase cam ade benda yg x kena je.. tatau la apa pulak kali ni. huhuhuhuh.. harap2 nye tade la mende yg x elok jadi lagi :(

a bad day...

Today is a day full of moody people and misfortunes.. Ade je yg cr pasal kat sekolah.. Not with me but it's annoying to see the authorities misuse their power on others. Kalau diorg tu mmg sgt perfect blhla nk sound orang lebih2.. tp nk sound org pn ade cara and adabnya.. feel sorry to my collegues yg x bernasib baik hr ni... sabar la kawan-kawan.. kita kan yang menurut perintah..

Apart org2 yg bad mood kat skolah, i just realized that ada org cube nk pecah masuk my car rupenye. Suspected time of crime is between 6pm, 26th Oct - 2pm 28th Oct.. mesti org kat kawasan apartment tu.. huhuh.. br je major servis kete on monday which costed me a fortune. Next gaji will only be in end of Nov.. now tepaksa repair the doorlock and the door handle... tape la.. kene redha.. ni ujian.. mungkin juga sebagai peringatan untuk hambaNya yang sentiasa leka dan lalai... Astaghfirullah.. Ampunkan dosa-dosa ku ya Allah... Lindungilah diriku serta ahli keluargaku.. Amin...

ME LOVE BAKING N MAKING DESSERT :)

I'm not good in cooking but i would say that i'm pretty good in baking (sori la ye i masuk bakul angkat sendiri :P) well.. really... i enjoyed baking so much.. it's a lot of fun and a stress therapy for me.. especially when it involves decoration..

since school.. every raya will be a platform for me to try new recipes for cookies and biscuits.. too bad i didnt take any pics.. besides yang kat bwh ni, i used to bake choc cakes, cheese cakes, caramel puddings, sagu gula melaka n many more. rase nk wat bisnes baking pn ade gak.. tp nk kene ade oven yg besar sket baru blh. tu pn if ada org nk tempah.. hahaha ade ke? here are some of my 'artworks' in these 2 years. my productive weekend

i had a really productive weekend this week. Not that i managed to achieve all my targets a listed here (:P) but managed to do quite a few things and spent less time lazying around at home. hurm where to start..

let's start from the car.. an accident happened to my car (jgn risau bukan eksiden langgar kete tu... hehe). So, I spent my Saturday cleaning up the mess in my car. Last Sunday someone accicently spill half of a mcD orange juice in my car (just before i head back to jb from kl). So being the forgetful-me, i totally forgotten about it when i arrived in jb + the tiredness of driving. i didn't realized the interior carpet of the passenger seat has successfully absorbed the juice and i was welcomed with a stench as i step into the car next morning. At that moment then i remebered about the juice and it's already too late.. tried to dry up the mess on my own but i failed..

so i decided to send the car to the carwash.. hoping that the so called professionals will be able to clear the mess. unfortunately, it became worse. and the weather for the whole week was not helping too. it has been raining and there was no way for me to jemur my car. i've been enduring the stench for a week. nasib baik la skola dekat.. kalo x memang mati x bernafas dlm kete.. hahaha.. anyway.. through out the week i tried to clear the stench by buying all sort of air freshners and deodorizers but to no avail.. i still couldnt get rid of the stench. Then i came across an article on the Net that suggests a few things/ways to get rid of any odour in your car. Now let me share with what you can do if you ever experience the same thing.

Here what you can do without spending your money on the costly-not working-air freshner or deodorizers. The most important things that you need are a special vaccum cleaner for water and a sunny day and of course you need other things like detergent, sponge or scourer. in this case i just used the powder detergent and a small cleaning brush. Dilute the detergent in some water and just splash your carpet with it. scrub clean and vaccum the water. do it a few times to ensure that you have got all the juices out. then dry your car in the sun until your carpet is totally dry. do make sure it is TOTALLY dry!! If not it is not worth the effort.

Then, to really ensure that your carpet doesnt smell anymore, throw some baking soda (yes, the baking soda that you use for baking) on the area affected and leave it over night. vacuum the baking soda on the next morning. Insya-Allah there will be no stench anymore. My car smells good now :) So there goes my Saturday. I rewarded my hard work with homebaked brownies.. yummy.. will share the recipe next time. On Sunday, i spent half of my day at school. Cleaning up my workspace - changing the table with better ones before any new teacher reports to the school tomorrow. they can have the old clumsy and faulty tables... muahahahaha :P Silly me. I forgot to snap the before-after picture.. haha.. Well it's better not to show the before picture isn't it? My workspace is neat now.. (Bersemangat nk wat keje.. hehehe ) I also prepared some materials for my classes tomorrow before heading home to laze around :P

So, there goes my weekend. Quite occupied but i still have time to ramble this long.. hehe. Wonder whether anyone reads? x kesah la janji ku bahagia.. haha.. ciao.

aku semalam duk termangu2 kat tepi tingkap bilik aku... aku duk tgk ade sekor burung ni, burung mende ntah... cantik je die landing atas kabel letrik depan blik aku ni... berbackgroundkan (gile ah, rojak sungguh bahasa aku) sebatang pokok yang sgt lebat....

n aku ni lak, tak pasal2 wat2 cam ade kamera, cari sudut yang aku rase cun nak amek gamba... tetibe aku terpikir, kan best kalu aku ade slr ke... haihhh... nak beli, duit tuh banyak lagik nak gune utk mende lain.... duk tgk kawan aku beli sebijik, mak ehh... bole beli moto 2nd hand da... tape la ko kaye... hehhe...

aku ni sbrnnya suke nak amek gamba, tapi aku sgt jarang nak bergamba, ish, selalu kene paksa dgn wife aku amek gamba... ngeh2... ape aku ngarut ni... tuh la topik ni, jangann.... jangan ngarut sebenarnya...

First Marhaban..

Ever since I started working in Johor, I've heard the Johorians still practice a few traditions that might be forgotten or slowly forgotten in other places and this includes marhaban. I've heard the word but have no idea how this is carried out. What I know, they will go for marhaban from house to house during hari raya and that's it.

So today, I've got the opportunity to experience marhaban myself. Our F3 students were having marhaban today as part of their post-exam activity. Then I know what marhaban actually is. A group of people will go from house to house and recite the selawat before they are all invited to enjoy the food specially prepared. This activity can strengthen the relationship in a community and turn the raya celebration merrier.. Here are a few snaps of the students and teacher reciting the selawat.. (of coz u cant see me in the picture :P)

P/S: The nasi lemak served was really delicious.. yummy!
